I disagree. I like the obscurity of it. It could be one of those types of pictures that matches an emotion--I forget what they're called--such as lonliness or even contentment.

No problem : ) I don't think you necessarily have to know a lot about photography to be a good photographer. Photography is an art, which means there are always going to be different opinions about *your* art. Which brings me to something I've been wanting to post for a long time. I see a lot of critiques by Mary Anita Blake and I've got to say, a lot of them are getting on my nerves. Mary, if you're reading this, I'd like to explain myself to you. You seem so quick to judge peoples' photos with such harsh critiques. That, in and of itself is fine, but you take it to a different level. That level is that you speak as though your opinion is FACT and the people who don't have 'good pictures' should change their way of taking them or their way of editing them b/c that is not the *right* way. Then, when someone critiques your picture as harshly, you are offended. I am an aspiring photographer and some of the comments you left on mine I found offensive considering the fact that you were the only one who picked them apart so negatively like that. One major thing that bothers me is that I see many comments of yours saying "the background is too busy." You might be lucky enough to have spreads of land that are clutter free or what have you but there are those of us who are not so lucky. A good photographer will work with what they have and put the focus on their subject. I'm not saying my pictures are perfect but neither are yours. I have looked through your gallery and you do have some nice pictures, but I feel like if you are going to be so harsh with your critiques you should have a good defense for it. I am sorry this is so long, but I've needed to get that off my chest for a long time. Thank you.
