Hey Genensis Paint Horses
Actually the photo was taken in an indoor arena with very little outside lighting and a flash. In order to keep the dust from really messing up the shot I have to be within a few feet of the subject, which causes the background to loose illumination. If you are interested take a look at my gallery for some other examples of the effect.

The other foal contest photo I have up is a full body shot of the foal and her dam. Ther are also lots of other shots of her im my gallery. With unlimited shots from ther digital camera I have gotten a little carried away.

I really like the expression on this foal. Earlier I said I wished it had a natural background and still do. I keep on coming back to this picture without rating it as I couldn't decide what I wanted to rate at, but I do like the expression so much I decided to rate this a 9.
